OCTOBER HAPPENINGS
We are off to a good start for this school year. Everyone is busy with new lessons, some with new curricula, and a few families living in new homes. Having newness intertwined into a secure, stable environment is exciting. Even our Father God says that He changes not but is New Every Morning.
So, as you work daily with your children on their lessons, be sure to keep their daily work fresh with new ideas. And, if you are one of our brand-new home educators, and everything is new, just relax. We are here to help you. And, we are as close as your phone or email.
We encourage you to share your special activities, trips and projects with us. We always enjoy hearing about the learning that is happening at your satellite campus of TOPS. For instance, one of our TOPS families decided to take a family vacation in September – traveling to the mountains and exploring the beauty of nature. It surely made for a relaxing getaway as well as a special time of learning for the children … and such is the beauty of educating at home. You get to decide the best time for your vacation. You’re not at the mercy of a school system that dictates your child’s daily schedule, days off, and other educational timetables.

Hemos tenido un buen comienzo para este año escolar. Todos están ocupados con nuevas lecciones, algunos con nuevos planes de estudio y algunas familias que viven en nuevos hogares. Tener novedad entrelazada en un entorno seguro y estable es emocionante. Incluso nuestro Padre Dios dice que Él no cambia sino que es Nuevo cada mañana.
Por lo tanto, mientras trabaja diariamente con sus hijos en sus lecciones, asegúrese de mantener su trabajo diario fresco con nuevas ideas. Y, si usted es uno de nuestros nuevos educadores en el hogar y todo es nuevo, simplemente relájese. Estamos aquí para ayudarte. Y estamos tan cerca como su teléfono o correo electrónico.

MAP RETEST
The MAP Retest will be opened December 10 and 11 for students who scored below 50% on any portion of the spring MAP test. These students have already been notified and are preparing for the opportunity to bring their scores up to a higher level and show their increased knowledge.

- November 30: Term 1 end. Electives and printed curriculum reports due.
- December 5: End of Term reports due
