March is a busy month with many announcements, so please read all sections of this newsletter carefully.

SURVEY, SURVEY, SURVEY
Win a $50 Gift Card!
Beginning March 15, TOPS is asking you to fill out a “Survey” that is required by our Accreditation agency. The more parents and students who reply, the better our accreditation score will be. The survey is available in both Spanish and English. The Spanish version may be printed and returned by email or postal mail. The English version is taken online.
We will ask all students and parents to complete the survey. In addition, we ask that everyone write a personal testimony or short paragraph on how you like TOPS or how we are helping you meet your education goals.
The survey will be open from March 15 until April 30 under Resources on our website. Every family who fills out both the parent and student surveys will be entered into a May 1 drawing for a $50 gift card.

ANNUAL MEASURE OF ACADMIC PROGRESS (MAP) TESTING
The registration spaces for the annual MAP test are filling up fast. If you have not chosen your child’s testing date, please do so today. You will receive instructions for preparing for the test on the weekend before your chosen date.
All U.S. students in grades 3-12 are required to take this annual testing. Exceptions: students with an IEP stating that such testing is not recommended; high school students taking PSAT, SAT, ACT exams (must show proof). Students in grades 1 and 2 may take the exam upon parent’s request to the school office. (International students are not required to take this exam)
Dates for MAP testing:
April 25, 26, 27
May 2, 3, 4
May 9, 10, 11
Make-up date: May 17
MEDIDA ANUAL DEL ENSAYO DEL PROGRESO ACADMICO (MAP)
