FATHER’S DAY IN JUNE
 
Dad brings a whole new perspective to homeschooling and to life in general. With Dad, kids have the opportunity to take part in a whole new world of activities. With Dad, those concepts that I just can’t seem to get them to grasp are suddenly understandable. With Dad, that digestive system model that looked more like the model of the playground suddenly took a more appealing shape!
Whether he is the support network for your family or the primary instructor in your homeschool program, Dad is important and very necessary!
Suggestions for Dad to do with the kids:
  • Do a science experiment together.
  • Build a project while teaching them how to use your tools.
  • Read to them adding in your own special additions that make the story more exciting.
  • Go for a hike with your children and point out the intricacies and beauty of God’s creation.
  • Share YOUR CHILDHOOD memories while taking a walk or hanging out on the couch with your kids.
  • Read a chapter of the Bible every evening.
  • Take your kids to a baseball game at a minor league park.
  • Turn off the television.
  • Play silly games that involve lots of hugging and wrestling.
  • Hug them when you leave for work and when you come home.
  • Give them a vision worth living for, even dying for, if necessary.
  • Get them involved in sports and be their biggest fan (don’t start coaching unless you are the coach).
How to support your wife:
  • Help with the grocery shopping.
  • When the laundry piles up, jump in and help!!
  • Take 10 minutes each day to sit and talk with your wife – and let her do the talking.
  • Be sure to make time to date your wife.
  • Encourage mom to take time off just for herself.

Papá trae una perspectiva completamente nueva a la educación en el hogar y a la vida en general. Con papá, los niños tienen la oportunidad de participar en un mundo completamente nuevo de actividades. Con papá, esos conceptos que simplemente no logro comprender son de repente comprensibles. ¡Con papá, ese modelo de sistema digestivo que se parecía más al modelo del patio de recreo de repente tomó una forma más atractiva!

NOTICE TO ONLINE GRADPOINT STUDENTS
We are no longer offering the GradPoint program to our online students.
The new curriculum choice for TOPS online students is ODYSSEYWARE.  It is a very strong academic curriculum, is available for 3rd – 12th grade and, in my opinion, more user and teacher friendly.  Teachers are available and many electives for middle school through high school.
Parents of current GradPoint students should not worry about the transition.  We will make it as smooth as possible.  If you have questions, we encourage you to call to discuss.  I believe you and your student will enjoy the new program very much.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS – GRADUATION PLANS!
 
If you plan to graduate this summer, please make plans to present your final documents early in June.  If you will need Apostille de Hague stamps for your transcript and diploma, you must request very soon.  It takes 5-6 weeks to obtain from the State of Florida.  All documents and Apostille Stamps will be sent to you via UPS International Express or DHL or FedEx.  This is the only way to ensure you receive the valuable documents.  The fee for this delivery is between $100 – $130 US and must be paid by PayPal invoice before documents can be sent.
ESTUDIANTES INTERNACIONALES – ¡PLANES DE GRADUACIÓN!

Si planea graduarse este verano, haga planes para presentar sus documentos finales a principios de junio.
