APRIL – RESURRECTION AND NEW LIFE
When I look around and see the beautiful colorful blooms of spring, the pastel colors of the decorations for Easter, the tender shoots of green grass, the new baby horses born on our ranch, I am moved to think of the children of The Oaks Private School. Our children are daily awakening to many growing, learning, maturing and flowering experiences. Every day is a day of learning for children … they may not learn a hard fact, but they will certainly learn another trait of character … obedience – or not, kindness – or not, faith – or not, giving – or not … and we together, you as parent/teacher and we as your helpers, will do well to incorporate the concepts of “TEACH” into their daily learning:
These five concepts will help your child become a person of character, encouraging them to become productive and creative by feeding their souls, developing their minds, protecting their hearts and preparing them for life as an adult.

It is not only a time of blooming and color, but a month of excitement as we prepare for the MAP Growth tests. What a great way to be able to show proof positive of the progress your child is making by being schooled at home … and, to give you a great sense of accomplishment because you do such a great job supervising your child’s learning. It is always such a point of satisfaction when parents, who come to us so concerned they might not be able to teach their children, see the MAP results and find that they, and their child, have succeeded beyond their wildest hopes.
You will receive full instructions about preparing your child and computer for MAP tests during the week before testing begins AND the weekend before your testing dates.

Cuando miro a mi alrededor y veo las hermosas flores coloridas de la primavera, los colores pasteles de las decoraciones de Pascua, los brotes tiernos de la hierba verde, los nuevos becerros nacidos en nuestro rancho, me emociona pensar en los niños de The Oaks Private Colegio. Nuestros niños están despertando diariamente a muchas experiencias de crecimiento, aprendizaje, maduración y floración. Cada día es un día de aprendizaje para los niños … es posible que no aprendan un hecho difícil, pero ciertamente aprenderán otro rasgo de carácter … obediencia – o no, amabilidad – o no, fe – o no, dar – o no … y nosotros juntos, usted como padre / maestro y nosotros, como sus ayudantes, haremos bien en incorporar los conceptos de “ENSEÑAR” en su aprendizaje diario:

No es solo un momento de floración y color, sino un mes de emoción mientras nos preparamos para las pruebas de MAP Growth. Qué gran manera de poder mostrar una prueba positiva del progreso de su hijo al ser educado en su hogar … y para darle una gran sensación de logro porque hace un gran trabajo supervisando el aprendizaje de su hijo. Siempre es un punto de satisfacción cuando los padres, que acuden a nosotros muy preocupados de que no puedan enseñar a sus hijos, ven los resultados del MAP y descubren que ellos y sus hijos han tenido éxito más allá de sus esperanzas más descabelladas
- Los estudiantes internacionales no están obligados a tomar la prueba MAP anual.
